The Challenge
Identifying a buyer who could recognize the opportunity to expand the business beyond its core work—into home junk removal and other complementary services. At the time, the business primarily served condo buildings and rental apartments.
The Strategy
We focused on maximum visibility. We marketed the opportunity to our internal buyer database—including buyers from similar cleaning-related transactions—and listed the business across eight business-for-sale platforms to generate consistent inbound interest and competitive demand.
The Result
After speaking with dozens of qualified buyers, we secured a local purchaser who was the right operational fit and closed the transaction successfully. Shortly after the transition, the buyer experienced unexpected health challenges. We worked closely with both parties to ensure continuity of service and a smooth handover, with the seller temporarily stepping in to support the operation during the transition period. The outcome was positive for everyone: the business continued uninterrupted, the buyer stabilized and is doing well, and the seller moved on to the next stage of her life.
