At VBS, we do not take a business “off the market” simply because an offer is submitted. We do not grant open-ended exclusivity in our process. Our mandate is to protect our clients, and that means maintaining competitive tension until funds are in our client’s account. We aim to keep multiple qualified buyers engaged and competing right through to closing.

In Erik’s case, we secured three strong offers. All three progressed to advanced stages, allowing us the advantage of choice — not just on price, but on structure and buyer fit. That leverage enabled Erik to select the offer and buyer he was most comfortable with, on terms that made sense for him.

At the same time, we actively support buyers in getting transactions funded. We maintain relationships with major lenders and guide buyers through the financing process — at no cost to them. Our goal is simple: create competitive leverage for our sellers while ensuring serious buyers have every opportunity to close.
